Here's just a few simple common sense rules we
should all follow
while riding in the desert.

Take
it easy in the staging area. Try not to raise
dust near other riders.
If
you see horseback riders, shut your engine off
until the horses are a good distance away.
Horses can get spooked from the sound, and buck
their riders off.
Slow
down when coming up to Bicyclists. Give them the
time they need to find a place to get off the
trail, so you can pass safely. Again, try not to
dust them.
When
meeting other riders coming toward you, slow
down, pass on the right, and signal with your
fingers how many riders are behind you.
When
riding with others, if you're in the lead, give
hand signals to indicate dangers ahead.
When
riding with a large party, or riders of
different skill levels, each person should check
for the person behind them periodically and wait
at any intersection of trails to ensure they
follow the correct trail.
If
you ride any vehicle with more than two wheels,
please don't ride on singletrack trails. There
are not many, and taking a bigger machine on
them ruins them for the people riding two
wheels.
Never chase animals.
If
you take something into the desert, take it out
too. Cigarette butts, candy wrappers, water
bottles, ect.
Stay
on trails!

If
we all follow these rules, there's no reason why
we can't all get along, and share the fun, and
beauty of our desert lands.
